Cards for a Friend

A friend asked me to make some Christmas Cards he could give to his Adult Children. I worked on them this weekend and he was very happy with the results. I got my inspiration on Pinterest for the first two.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #183

For the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #183 I found the perfect Picture My Life Card to work with from the Close to My Heart PML "Happy Happy Christmas Cards" Collection.  I matted it on Cranberry Cardstock, added some City Sidewalks Washi Tape, Stamped and cut out some berries and a bird form the oldie but goody CTMH stamp set (C1510) Merry & Bright and tied 2 bows out of White & Gold Twine.  I also used some Epoxy Bubbles on the stamped berries to make them look 3 Dimensional.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #181

Another Christmas Card made with the help of the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog!  I used Close to My Heart Stamp Set (D1695) Cozy Christmas and the matching Thin Cuts which made it so easy and quick to cut out the Snowmen and their accessories!

I used an embossing folder on the white background, Cranberry Cardstock and paper from the City Sidewalks Paper Packet.

So... instead of the 3 banners I used 3 Snowmen. I backed them with a piece of red printed paper so they would show up better.  The Sentiment was stamped on the white cardstock before it was embossed.

3 Amigo's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Three Amigos October 2016 Close to My Heart Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3rd day of each month we will feature a different CTMH product or challenge and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through.

This Month our Challenge is to use 3 Textures.  I started by stamping the spider webs on the Sunset Cardstock and then using the DOTS Embossing Folder for texture on the background.  Since this is a Halloween Card I scraped the edges of the cardstock to make it look a little Spooky.  I used Purple Sparkle Gems to pop out the spiders.

The Close to My Heat Stamp Sets I used are (B1529) Silly Spider Web, (B1528) Monster Crossing and (C1652) Monstrous Halloween.

Now hop on over to Susan's Blog and Lisa's Blog to see what they have created this month!
