Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

This card is based on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #66 which can be seen on their challenge blog this week. I used the new Close to My Heart "Brushed" paper pack, Stamp #D1627 "Your Own Kind of Wonderful" and Flamingo Dots.  The butterfly was stamped in black and colored in with the ShinHan Tender Pink and Pastel Green markers.

Atlantic Hearts Challenge

The Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #65 drawing was an easy one for me this week.  I looked at the drawing and a card idea came right to me.  Last night I finally had a chance to create my card using Close to My Heart "Confetti" Paper Pack and Stamp set D1618 "Build A Cake". I also added a strip of Purple Shimmer Trim to dress it up a bit.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #63

This is my first time using some of the new Close to My Heart Stamps and Paper for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge! As a CTMH Consultant I am able to receive new products in advance in order to create cards and scrapbbok pages for Workshops.

For my card I used the new Stamp Sets B1462 Lovely Birthday  and C1599 Pretty Petals along with a current stamp set D1482 Love Life.  The inks I used are Sweet Leaf and the new Thistle ink and cardstock.  I used the Cricut Cartridge "Art Philosophy" to cut out the flowers.

Three Amigo's Mini Blog Hop

Welcome to the Three Amigos July 2014 Close to My Heart Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3rd day of each month we will feature a different CTMH product and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through

This month we are taking the cards from the Picture My Life Collections and showing you how they can be used in different ways.  The cards were made to slide into the Page protectors to create quick and easy Scrapbook Pages.  But there is so much more you can do with them!

I've used the cards from a few different Picture My Life Kits to make Greeting Cards.

This first one was made with a 4 x 6" card from the Skylark PML Kit:

Next, the Avonlea PML Kit using one 4 x 6" and one 3 x 4" card:

And the Surf's Up Kit using one 4 x 6" and one 3 x 4" card:

And last I have a card using the Babycakes PML kit:

Now "HOP" on over to Susan's Blog and  Lisa's Blog to see what they have created this month!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #60

My card is designed from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #60.  Do you remember "Dotty For You? I loved that paper pack from Close to My Heart and still have a few pieces and scraps left from it.  I mixed it with a little "Sweet Leaf" cardstock and added the sentiment from (B1417) Perfect Fit Birthday to come up with this card:

Next week I will not be able to participate... I will be at the Close to My Heart Convention in Anaheim, California!  See you in two weeks!

Three Amigo's Mini Blog Hop / H2H Challenge

Welcome to the Three Amigos June 2014 Close to My Heart Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3rd day of each month we will feature a different CTMH product and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through.
It is June, the most popular month for weddings.  So the theme this month for our Blog Hop is... Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something blue.

I am also entering this card in the Heart 2 Heart Challenge Blog this week.  The theme is Rhapsody in BLUE.  Be sure to check out the H2H Blog each week for a new Challenge!

OLD: Close to My Heart Stamp Set B1325 "Welcome Baby"
NEW: CTMH Dot Embossing Folder
BORROWED: Well, I "borrowed" the design from a card I saw on Pinterest. The designer's name was not on the page, but you can see the card on MY Pinterest Board.
BLUE: The Ink and Cardstock color is "Sky"

Now "HOP" on over to Susan's Blog to see what she has created this month!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #57

For this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge I dug out some old CTMH paper scraps and a retired stamp set (Welcome Baby). This is why I save all my scraps of paper! Sooner or later (usually later) they are put to good use.

The Sketch:

Thank you Atlantic Hearts for putting me in the Top 3 this week!

Heart 2 Heart Challenge

So very Nauti (cool) is the subject for this week's Heart 2 Heart challenge.  I asked my husband for some of his father's things that he found while sorting through boxes of personal items after his parent's house was sold.  I don't think he knew exactly what I was planning to do with them, but since I turn everything into artwork, he didn't mind handing them over.   At first I was stumped as to what paper to use, but then I did find some scraps of the retired paper pack "Tommy".  Perfect!

My Father-in-law, Marcel, was born in France and came to the United States with his family at the age of 5.  He was in the US Navy in the mid 40's.  Along with his picture I used his medals and dog tags.  I put the page in a shadow box so we could hang it on the wall.  My husband was so excited over what I made for him honoring his dad.
