For this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge I dug out some old CTMH paper scraps and a retired stamp set (Welcome Baby). This is why I save all my scraps of paper! Sooner or later (usually later) they are put to good use.

Thank you Atlantic Hearts for putting me in the Top 3 this week!
So very Nauti (cool) is the subject for this week's Heart 2 Heart challenge. I asked my husband for some of his father's things that he found while sorting through boxes of personal items after his parent's house was sold. I don't think he knew exactly what I was planning to do with them, but since I turn everything into artwork, he didn't mind handing them over. At first I was stumped as to what paper to use, but then I did find some scraps of the retired paper pack "Tommy". Perfect!
My Father-in-law, Marcel, was born in France and came to the United States with his family at the age of 5. He was in the US Navy in the mid 40's. Along with his picture I used his medals and dog tags. I put the page in a shadow box so we could hang it on the wall. My husband was so excited over what I made for him honoring his dad.
Here is a sample of a couple 3" Square Gift Cards made with the June Stamp of the Month. I will be giving these out to each of my customers at my next workshop as a thank you.

( CTMH S1306) A Flowering Bunch is a past "Stamp of the Month" which I still use often. The sentiment is from (CTMH D1584) Big Hug. The paper, which also has a sentiment on it, is Skylark and I used my Teal Shimmer Trim for the first time.
Sketch Challenge #55 can be seen at the Atlantic Hearts Blog. I did rearrange the sketch a bit by moving my flowers to the right and my sentiment to the left. A very simple 5" x 7" Black & White Card made with the CTMH Stamp Set B1432 "Love This". The border is cut out to show the black strip inside.
I used the "Sarita" paper for my card. The Birthday Cake is from a retired stamp set and is colored in with Honey and Lagoon Alcohol Markers. The "Happy Birthday" is from the
Welcome to the Three Amigos May 2014Close to My Heart Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3rd day of each month we will feature a different CTMH product and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through. This month we used the CTMH National Scrapbooking Month Paper Special "Free to Be Me"
