Christmas Card Workshop

I have been making several Christmas Cards with the Close to My Heart "Frosted" and "Sparkle and Shine" Paper Packs.  Trying to choose which ones to make for my Christmas Card Workshop isn't easy. 

I want each one to be special, yet not too involved. My goal is to have everyone complete 10 cards in less than 3 hours. So last night I went through all of the cards and eliminated any that I felt would take too long to make.

Three Amigo's Close to My Heart Mini Blog Hop

Welcome to the Three Amigos Octoberber CTMH Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3^rd day of each month we will feature a different CTMH product and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through.  

For our Second "Hop" we chose the "Always Grateful" Stamp set (C1559) which you can purchase for $13.95 on my Close to My Heart website. 

For my project I took this Autumn Stamp set and turned it into a "Wintery" Holiday Card.  Frist I stamped the tree on a circle of Colonial White Cardstock with Slate ink.  Then I stamped 2 more trees in the background with Whisper ink. I embossed the circle by putting it through the Cuttlebug to give it a snowy look.

Brown Paper Packages Tied up with String

Brown Paper Packages Tied up with String is the theme for this week's challenge at Heart 2 Heart.  Since I had the day off from work yesterday I was able to get this project done right away!  I used the September CTMH Stamp of the Month for my card along with the Quick Cards "Bountiful Season" (A1130) Stamp and tied it up with some Hemp. I stamped on Colonial White & Desert Sand Cardstock and used Chocolate Card Stock for the outside Borders.

Three Amigos CTMH Mini Blog Hop

Welcome to the Three Amigos September CTMH Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. For my  project I completed my first page in one of the new Close to My Heart “My Crush” Books (My Crush Books found on pages 63 through 67 of your CTMH Autumn/Winter Idea Book). I also used the New Artbooking Cricut Cartridge to cut out the film strip. The Journaling tag, the envelope holding the movie passes and the ticket sticker are all pieces from the “My Crush Assortments”.

Artbooking Cricut Cartridge from Close to My Heart

This week at the Exploring Cricut Blog there is a challenge to use at lease 2 Cricut cuts on a project.  I chose to cut out an overlay and photo mat with the new Artbooking Cricut Cartridge from Close to My Heart.  The font used on my layout is from the same cartridge.
 

Make A Scene for H2H This Week

This week at Heart 2 Heart we are being challenged to "Make a Scene." 

I used the new "Always Grateful" Stamp Set and "Frosted" Papers with a piece of Bronze Shimmer Trim to add a little sparkle for this simlpe scene on a Christmas Card. The card is matted in  CTMH Chocolate Card Stock and Colonial White Card Stock was used for stamping on.  The tree and sentiment are both stamped with "Chocolate" ink.

CTMH Challenge

I met some friends at the Stamp & Scrapbook Show at the Erie County Fair Grounds on Saturday and managed to not go overboard on my spending.  We did see a pretty technique using a single stamp and layering several sections on it to make it 3D.  I was challenged by Kathy to make a similar project with a Close to My Heart Stamp. I knew right away which stamp I would use,  B1424 Classy Doily.  When I got home from the show I Skype Scrapped with Lisa and got the project made! So Kathy, here it is:

Heart 2 Heart Sentiment-ally Yours

This week at Heart 2 Heart the challenge is to make the Sentiment the focus of your project.  For this I am getting a little ahead of myself.  I have used the September Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month. There are so many possibilities with this stamp set.  You can use the entire stamp or pick just certain words (or sections)  to stamp.  On my 3 x 3 card I stamped the top part of the stamp in "Whisper" and hilighted the word JOY in Ruby. I matted it on Colonial White Cardstock and used Ruby Cardstock for the card.
