Three Amigo's Mini Blog Hop

Welcome to the Three Amigos February 2014 Close to My Heart Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3^rd day of each month we will feature a different CTMH product and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through.  

For our March 2014 "Hop" we chose to use a new product to Close to My Heart... Embossing Folders!  These Embossing Folders are big enough for a 5 X 7 card but can still be used for a smaller card as well. The card I made measured 4 "x 5-1/2".

 I have had a lot of requests for Wedding Cards lately...  I used the Quatrefoil Embossing Folder on a white daisy background.  I also used CTMH Slate Polk-a-Dot ribbon for the dress and "All My Love" (D1194) Retired Stamp for the hearts.  The figures were cut from the "Sweethearts" Cricut Cartridge.

H2H Flourishes Challenge

Better late than never... Last week Heart 2 Heart had a challenge to incorporate Flourishes in your project.  For my card I used Creme Brulee ink and the Love Life stamp set (D1482) for the background on my card.  Island Greetings (A1157) stamped in Barn Red and colored in with water color pencils and a few retired and new embellishments finished off the card.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #42

For Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #42 I used Close to My Heart Lollydoodle paper and the new Owls stamp set.  Here is the sketch and my card:

Heart 2 Heart featuring a "Heart"

This is Valentines' week at H2H and we are to use HEARTS on our projects.  I wanted to use my new CTMH Damask Embossing folder and this was perfect for a Wedding Dress.  The dress was cut from the "Sweethearts" Cricut Cartridge and the "Heart" on my card is from a retired CTMH stamp set.  The inside sentiment is from "The Happy Couple" Stamp set.

I am using a new Close to My Heart paper pack for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #41 called Ariana.  I also used Stamp s C1536 Happy Thoughts and B1419 Joyful Birthday for my card.

For our Sixth "Hop" we chose a new Paper Pack from Close to My Heart called Skylark. 
This was not one of my favorite new papers until I went to use it. Now I can't wait to use it for other projects!  I created 4 cards out of 1 sheet of Skylark paper and 1 sheet of Chocolate cardstock.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #40

In the Spotlight!

This week at Heart 2 Heart the Challenge is to put something "In the Spotlight"  I made a Black & White Card using a retired Close to My Heart Stamp Set and leftover scraps from the For Always Paper Pack.  I stamprd many "Happy's" with "Birthday" in the Spotlight!

 

I am excited to have participated in every H2H Challenge this month, I hope I can keep it up in February!

H2H Two Faced Challenge

The Heart 2 Heart Two Faced challenge is to use both sides of a two sided pattern paper. For my card I used a brand new Close to My Heart paper called Lollydoodle.  (Isn't that a fun name?) I also used the stamp set which comes with the Lollydoodle Card Making Workshop on the Go.  These items will be available for purchase from the new Spring/Summer 2014 CTMH Idea Book starting February 1, 2014.
