Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #175

Dear Atlantic Hearts,
Thank you for giving me a reason to get upstairs in my Scrap room and use some of my new Close to My Heart products.  I tend to forget to do any indoor projects in the summertime.  Especially this summer which has been warm ... no, it has been HOT and sunny every day!

So my card this week is a birthday card using a new stamp set D1703 "Nature's Wish", new paper "Rustic Home" and new Compliments "Good Life".

Here is the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #173

More New Paper and a New Stamp Set from Close to My Heart! It is so exciting to use new products for the first time.  The stamp set is Hooked on You (B1535) and the paper is called Rustic Homes.  I made this card from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #173.

I also used Cocoa Ink and Durables Studs.  Here is the Atlantic Hearts Sketch:

3 Amigo's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Three Amigos August 2016 Close to My Heart Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3rd day of each month we will feature a different CTMH product or challenge and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through.

This month our project challenge is to use 3 folds.  What better than the old Tri-fold Shutter Card?!  I haven't made one of these in a while so I had to look for my pattern, and I actually found it in my messy scrap room!  I used the August Stamp of the Month which is a Halloween Stamp set and I also used a cut out from Artbooking.

It's difficult to photograph the entire card so I have 2 pictures.  The first one shows it from the front.

This is a view from the back:

Thank you for visiting my blog! Now hop on over to Susan's Blog and Lisa's Blog to see what they have created this month!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #171

For Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #171 I decided to attempt a Shaker Card for the first time.  This was not an easy task for me.  The first one ended up in the garbage.  After several hours I finally came up with one that sort of worked.  I used brand new paper from Close to My Heart called Whimsy Fundamentals and a favorite stamp set of mine called Birthday Princess.

The sketch was a simple one and perfect for this kind of card:
