Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #123

This is my first Christmas Card of the year and I am using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #123.  

Now that I have some of the new Close to My Heart Stamp Sets and the White Pines Paper Pack, it has put me in the mood to start my Christmas Cards.

In addition to the White Pines Paper I used the Hostess Stamp Set "Festive Trees" (B1493) and the October Stamp of the Month "Twinkle" (S1510). I also added a couple red enamel hearts (Z2009).

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #122

When I saw the sketch for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge for this week the first thing I pictured was tree trunks.  So I used my Woodgrain Embossing Folder on a piece of brown cardstock and then cut the cardstock into different width strips for the trees.  The branches and flowers were cut out with my Cricut.  I used CTMH D1560 Holiday Tags Stamp Set and Thistle Ink for the sentiment.  I added some sequins for a little sparkle.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #121

This is my card I created based on the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #121.  It is a card you hope you never need, but a good idea to have on hand.

I got a little ahead of myself and used the September Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month along with  stamp (C1524) Words of Comfort.  I added some scraps from the retired "For Always" paper pack, embossed the white background with the CTMH Quatrefoil embossing folder and added 3 butterfly shapes from "Just Blooms Paper Shapes".

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #120

I am back in my craft room with the air conditioner on full blast.  It is 90 degrees out and the humidity is at 89% today here in Western New York, a perfect day to stay inside and create my card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #120!

I used Close to my Heart "Hopscotch" paper,  the Dot embossing folder for the background, an old Stamp of the Month from 2013 called "Pinwheel", Flaxen twine and the sentiment is stamped with (D1560) Holiday Tags.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #119

I have been playing along with the weekly Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog for quite some time now but this is my first week on the Design Team!  I am excited to be a part of the team and I am looking forward to the weekly challenges.  

This comes just in time for me to give a sneak peek at one of the new Close to My Heart papers which will be available in the 2015-2016 Annual Inspirations Book starting September 1st.  It is from the paper pack called "Zoe".  I also used one of the stickers from the Zoe Complements, a gem from the Zoe Assortment and Coral Shimmer Trim.  The white background is embossed with the CTMH Honeycomb Embossing Folder.

I had some old retired CTMH flowers and ribbon which went well with the design and I threw in a few other embellishments I had leftover from other projects.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Chantilly Cardmaking Workshop.

3 Amigo's Blog Hop

Welcome to the Three Amigos August 2015 Close to My Heart Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3^rd day of each month we will feature a different CTMH product and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through. 

This month we are featuring products that will soon be retiring.  On September 1st Close to My Heart will have a new Annual Inspirations Book to order from with to of new products to get!  In order to make room for the new items many of the old ones will be retiring.  I chose to use one of my favorite Hostess Rewards Stamps that will be retiring called Exotic Flower (B1477).  I stamped on White Daisy and colored in the design with my Shin Han Markers.
