Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #87
For the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #87 I used the December CTMH Stamp of the Month and the A1170 "Doodled Designs" Stamp set from the CTMH Seasonal Expressions Book. I had some leftover paper and stickers from the retired "Sophia" Paper and I also used a border piece from the current "Brushed" Paper pack. Cardstock colors used: Hollyhock, Pear, Pixie and Canary.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
I made 50 Thank You cards back in October for my daughter to use for her Baby Shower last month. She called last night and said she needed a few more. I didn't save one to copy from so I decided since I didn't remember exactly what they looked like, that I would follow the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #86 for the rest of the cards.
This will be my first grandchild and I can't even describe to you how excited I am!
The baby is due on Christmas Eve, and you can tell by the color of the Thank You Card that...

Three Amigo's Mini Blog Hop
Welcome to the Three Amigos December 2014 Close to My Heart Mini-Blog Hop. We are three Close to My Heart Consultants with a love for Stamping and Scrapping and would like to share our creative ideas with you. On the 3rd day of each month we will feature a different CTMH product and create a card, layout or other project. There are only 3 stops on this hop so it will only take a few minutes to hop through.
This month we are making our project based on the new Close to My Heart Seasonal Expressions Book which is now available to order from! I used the new Stamp Set called "Brushstrokes" (C1608) for the two cards below. Sentiments on both cards are from older CTMH stamp sets.

Heart2Heart Challenge
This week at the Heart2Heart Challenge Blog there is a "No Rules" Challenge! That's right, the challenge is to create anything you want to. Well there is just one small rule. You must use Close to My Heart products.
Living in Western New York can sometimes be very challenging. I have lived here 40 years and have seen many snow storms in my time. The big ones, 1977, 1985 and 2006 shut down the entire area... stores, banks, schools, streets, mail delivery... Houses and businesses collapsed from the heavy snow on the roof, trees destroyed, and even deaths. But through all of it people gathered together to help not only their neighbors, but perfect strangers as well.
Last week was the biggest snow disaster of them all. Up to 84" in snow fell in areas. We were literally trapped in our house. The snow was up to the top of our doors. My husband had to continuously climb out a window to clear out our furnace vent on the side of the house so that we would have heat. Temperatures were in the teens,
The National Guard was here clearing snow almost all week. After 3 days of shoveling (the snow was too high to use a snow blower) we were able to hire someone with a large piece of snow removal equipment to finish out the digging. Although we still were not able to leave the house because of the driving ban.
Six days after the snow started falling the temperature rose to 65 degrees. Now everyone worried about flooding. We were very fortunate that the only damage to our property was a broken outdoor light and some broken bushes.
My layout is the first of many I will be making for the Snowvember Storm. My pictures are not yet printed, but here are a few that I took:
And finally the layout. using last year's CTMH "Frosted" paper and D1480 "Snowflakes" stamp set:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #81
I missed last week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, so I thought I'd better get this week's done while I have the time!
This card was really quick and easy to make. I used the Close to My Heart Stamp Set from the Snowhaven Cardmaking Workshop (D1625) and heat embossed the image in gold. The border and banners are made from Gold Shimmer Trim.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #78
For the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #78 I decided to use cards from the Close to My Heart "Pear and Partridge" Picture My Life (PML) Collection. This is a Quick and Easy way to make Christmas Cards. I used one of the PML cards for the center of the card and added coordinating paper to complete it. It was so quick and easy... I made a second card from the same sketch!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #77
For Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #77 I pulled out the old CTMH "Dotty for You" paper pack. I will need to make more of these cards since I know several Wine Drinkers that this will be appropriate for!
Now excuse me while I go drink some wine!

I Love the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #76. It is so different from any sketch they have had in the past. This card is made with the CTMH Stamp Set B1403 To You and Yours.
I can't wait to make more Christmas cards with this same sketch!

Living in Perfect Harmony
I confess that sometimes I go over to the "Dark Side". By that I mean that I use stamps that are not Close to My Heart.
My friend Patricia is a Stampin Up Girl and I have been known to browse her catalog now and then. Although I love working with the Clear Acrylic Stamps that CTMH has, sometimes I like a rubber stamp enough that I just have to have it!
Here are a couple cards I have been working on this week. The first one uses the CTMH Stamp of the Month in combination with an SU stamp in the background. The second is SU with a CTMH sentiment.

And one more. Not my design, I saw this on Pinterest and made this one similar....

Atlantic Hearts Sketch #71
I started out using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch #71 as a guide for this card, but things somehow started to move around on me. The sketch was still an inspiration and starting point for my card design. I used the pretty "Brushed" paper pack by Close to My Heart and the CTMH Hostess Rewards stamp "Better With A Friend".
You can earn Hostess Rewards to get this and other Hostess Stamp sets by having a CTMH Gathering with product sales of just $150.00!

Owls Owls Everywhere!
This month I have seen so many Owl projects, including my own! This card was "copied" from my good friend Lisa while we were scrapping together last weekend. I put it together and pulled it apart 3 times before it finally looked like this:
You can see Lisa's original version on her blog : http://bzscrapper66.blogspot.com/2014/08/owlways-and-forever.html
